ABOUT DUC DINH CENTER

Duc Dinh Center is the premier after-school learning center of the greater Houston metropolitan area. Duc Dinh Center was founded in the summer of 2008 and has seen unhindered growth in the last 9 years. At 12,000 square feet, it is one of the largest independently operated educational facilities in the state of Texas. Our founder, Mr. Duc Trong Dinh has had over 15 years experience working as both an educator and an administrator here at the center. The educators here are trained and well-equipped to deal with students of all ages.

Here at the center, we are firm believers that a proper education is a crucial factor in a determining a child’s success. For this reason, it is our mission to identify and correct the problems that our students experience because of shortcomings in the public education system. The curriculum at the center has been carefully formulated to promote high academic achievement. Our students consistently outperform their peers on standardized tests. Each year, our students make us proud by scoring perfectly on the state of Texas STAAR exams and the ACT, and rank in the 99th percentile on the PSAT and SAT.

Our Philosophy

Our educators here at the center have made Nelson Mandela’s famous words a philosophy to live by. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” We have already used our influence on students to change the community around us, and eagerly await the opportunity to affect the world at large.

Our History

The idea behind the curriculum for this learning facility began in a dorm room at Rice University, but was realized in the summer of 2008 to provide jobs for members of the non-profit organization, Lend a Hand. Although the center had modest beginnings in a small house, it grew at a tremendous rate, eventually settling in the heart of Alief and serving thousands of students and families each year.
